Mocha Latte

‘Tis the season for warm, comforting drinks. Whether it’s herbal teas, creamy milks, or mulled cider, I’m pretty much ready for them all. It doesn’t matter if it’s morning, noon, or night as they all seem to set the perfect scene for a warm beverage: that first cup o’joe, the afternoon pick-me-up, or an evening night cap. It was like the day was MADE for a drink.

So what I have for you here, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, is a perky treat to get you moving and grooving first thing out of bed. Instead of dragging yourself to the nearest drive thru for your beloved ‘Hot Chocolate Extra Whip Double Shot Splash Of Soy,’ reconsider. Why leave the comfort of your warm, cozy home when you could make the creamiest, dreamiest, Mocha Latte without ever putting on real pants…

So, I’ll just leave this right here.

Mocha Latte

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup freshly brewed coffee
  • ⅛ cup milk (I used almond because that’s what I had in the fridge)
  • 1 T raw cashews FOR CREAMINESS
  • 2 heaping teaspoons cacao (or cocoa) powder
  • ¼ teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1-2 dates
  • Dash of cinnamon

DIRECTIONS:

  • 1. Heat everything in a sauce pot until simmering, then transfer to a high speed blender and BLITZ AWAY.
